INDIANA CORRECTIONAL ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Each
year, the Indiana Correctional Association awards up to six (6) $300 to $500
scholarships to members who are employed in the field of corrections or are
receiving an education in criminal/juvenile justice fields. The
following criteria must be met and included with the application at the time
of submission. 1.
A person must be a member of the Indiana Correctional Association for a
minimum of one year. 2.
If employed, employment must be in the corrections, criminal/juvenile
justice, or related fields. 3.
Students must be majoring in an area that may enhance their career in the
field of corrections. 4.
Attach a copy of your current college transcript. 5.
Attach a letter from the Office of School Registrar concerning enrollment
verification and cost per credit hour. 6.
Include a 500-word essay expressing why you should receive the scholarship,
and your philosophy on corrections in Indiana. Priority
will be given to distribute the scholarship awards to at least one (1) per
ICA district. Scholarships will be awarded each year and recipients
will be recognized at the Annual Fall Conference. The
application deadline is August 1.
